- jetzt for “right now”: jetzt shows something is true at the present moment: Sie war beim Sport und hat jetzt großen Durst. (“She was at sports and is very thirsty right now.”)
- im is in + dem, and it marks the dative: Julia ist im Supermarkt und sucht ein kaltes Getränk. (“Julia is in the supermarket and is looking for a cold drink.”)

She was at sports and is very thirsty right now.
But there is no water left in the fridge at the checkout.
A shop assistant asks: “Would you like a cold cola?"
